Most of you that follow me on social media know that late last spring/early last summer I wrote a blog similar to this one here. I decided to stop, mainly due to some personal reasons as well as the fact that I was super stressed with work and school and needed to prioritize those two aspects of my life at the time being.
But as I sat in my living room during the final days of 2019, I realized how much I loved writing those posts. I realized the love that was clearly there, and I realized how much I love writing in general. Though it saddens me I don’t have those old posts anymore, I want to revisit this project because it really did mean a lot to me, and I loved acknowledging the people and things who make my life worthwhile.
Many of us have posted that we have a “word” for the new year. For me, that word is “reflection”. I wasn’t that motivated to write a post about 2018 because, quite honestly, it was not at all my best year. But I’m grateful for the lessons I learned and the challenges I endured. And so for 2019, I want to reflect on those mistakes and lessons, and make something good come from bad- this blog being part of my attempt to do that.
Thank you for reading and for being part of this experience. Here’s to a happier and healthier 2019, and for one which we all can be grateful for.
